PageVaultRead does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no servers, and no network requests of any kind.
PageVaultRead is a fully offline reading tracker and personal library that keeps your books, reading sessions and progress on your own device. The pages that follow describe, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with the things you type into it.
None. PageVaultRead has no sign-up, no login, and no way to send information anywhere. Anything you type into the app — a book title, an author, a rating, a note, your display name — is written to a database file inside the app’s own private storage on your phone and stays there. The developer never sees it, and it is never uploaded, backed up to a remote service by the app, or made available to anyone else.
For the app to work, the following is kept in the operating system's local storage, on your phone, and nowhere else:
None of it is uploaded. Uninstalling the app removes every byte.
None. The Android manifest requests no runtime permissions at all — no internet, no camera, no microphone, no location, no contacts, no photo library, no notifications. The iOS build declares no usage-description strings because it asks for nothing that would require one. If your device ever prompts you for a permission on behalf of PageVaultRead, something is wrong — please write to us.
PageVaultRead is fully offline. The app contains no networking code — no HTTP client, no sockets, no cloud database, no remote configuration, no crash reporting endpoint. It works identically in airplane mode, and it does not know or care whether you have a connection. Book covers are drawn locally from colour and typography rather than fetched from the internet, which is why nothing needs to be downloaded.
There are no analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs in PageVaultRead. The app is built with Flutter and uses a small set of open-source packages for on-device work only: sqflite and shared_preferences for local storage, fl_chart for drawing your reading charts, flutter_riverpod for app state, flutter_animate for animations, and intl for date formatting. None of them transmit data. One package, share_plus, opens your device’s own share sheet when you tap the share button on your reading stats — at that point the text you are sharing is handed to whichever app you pick, and that app’s own privacy policy takes over. Nothing is shared unless you start it.
PageVaultRead is suitable for all ages and is safe for children to use. Because the app collects nothing, transmits nothing, and shows no advertising, there is no personal information that could be gathered from a child under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and therefore nothing that falls under COPPA or GDPR-K. We do not knowingly — or unknowingly — collect data from anyone, at any age.
Your data is in your hands, literally: it lives only on your device. You can view or edit any of it from inside the app, delete individual books, sessions and notes at any time, and clear everything at once by using your system settings to clear the app’s storage. Uninstalling PageVaultRead permanently removes the local database and preferences file — there is no server copy left behind, no account to close, and no deletion request to file, because we hold nothing to delete. If your device performs its own system-level backup (for example Android Auto Backup or an encrypted iOS/iCloud device backup), that copy is made and controlled by your operating system under your device settings, not by us.
If anything in this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be revised, and material changes will appear in the app's release notes.
